General Questions

1. Is the QuIRC an appropriate tool for my service?

If your service is an inpatient or community-based psychiatric unit for individuals with longer term mental health problems you can use the QuIRC to undertake an assessment of the quality of care provided in your facility.

2. Should I use the QuIRC if my service is a community-based mental health rehabilitation unit?

Use the QuIRC if your unit is considered equivalent or similar to an inpatient unit e.g. it may take detained patients and is seen as a treatment setting rather than a supported accommodation (housing) service.

3. What should I do if I manage more than one unit?

Once you have registered as a user you can complete the QuIRC for any service you manage.

4. Can a deputy manager or other member of staff complete the QuIRC?

Yes, the QuIRC has been designed to be completed by any senior member of staff. The person completing the QuIRC should register as a user on the QuIRC website.

5. Has the QuIRC been used in research?

The QuIRC has been widely used in research. Please see "About" page for further details.

6. Can I use the QuIRC in my research?

Yes, please contact us to discuss this further.

7. How do I access the data for my unit?

Once you have completed the QuIRC you will be able to print off a pdf report showing the performance of your service across each of the seven domains. The report will also provide some descriptive information about your service.

8. What should I do if I'm having difficulty registering or I've lost my password?

Please contact us with any technical difficulties you may have and we will be happy to assist.

Supported Accomodation?
